Troubleshooting

So, you've run into a problem and just can't get Firebot to work right? I'm sorry! Hopefully this guide will help you get back on the right track. Follow each step and if it's still broken we'll figure it out.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Make sure you've downloaded the newest version of Firebot. Download here.
2. Restart the app.
3. Re-log into the app. If you have a bot account re-log that as well.
4. Make sure that you do not have emoji in a button name in the interactive studio. Button text should be fine. Restart Firebot.
5. Try going through every scene and button in Firebot and hit save. No need to change settings, just hit the save button.
6. If you're unable to see images and effects on stream, make sure you've loaded the overlay file into your streaming software. (/firebot/overlay/firebot.html)
7. Run Firebot in administrator mode.
8. Make sure Firebot is not being blocked by antivirus or windows defender.

I'm still having issues:
If none of this works, please go to the issues page at this link and create a new issue. Be sure to attach your controls file for the board you're having problems with if it's board specific. To get this go to /firebot/user-settings/controls/boardname.json.

After that, go to your board in the interactive studio and hit the share icon in the top right. There will be a place for you to enter "Firebottle" to share the board with me. This will allow me to run the board on my channel to diagnose the problem.
