FightSabers v0.3.2
Changes
- Fixed an issue where you couldn't totally disable FS modifiers
- Fixed an issue where the console was spamming errors if you didn't enable at least one FS modifier once
Workarounds
- There is currently an issue where
FS Modifiers
is not accessible using the current BSML plugin from ModAssistant when the menu is refreshed (i.e: applying settings). There is an update but not yet released on ModAssistant fixing that issue (among other ones). It has been pre-bundled in the .zip file found below but please consider downloading the new BSML version once it'll be out (idk when, ask monkeymanboy ^-^)
Known issues
- After a
TimeWarper
modifier has been applied, hit sounds may break or be delayed even though I couldn't reproduce it. If it does, please make an issue about it.
Additional informations
If you encounter issues after updating this mod from the previous versions (monsters not showing, no FightSabers panel, etc..), make sure:
- you have the latest version of BSML (at least 1.1.3) and BS_Utils
- to delete
UserData/FightSabers.json

Changes
- Modifiers can be toggled from the left
Gameplay Setup
panel under theMods/FS Modifiers
tab. There is also a strength setter to make harder (or easier) the modifier, more info can be found when hovering the modifier strength setter! Note that enabling one of these modifiers will disable monsters AND score submission!

Changes
Quests
are finally here on FightSabers! This can be found by clicking theOpen FightSabers
button above the experience bar and click theQuests
button at the bottom.
The main (mid) panel will show you quests you can pick, which are been unlocked every four monsters kills. The left one will show you the current quests and their full information: title, description, and rewards. You can also hover the quest progress bar to see again the reward that the quest will give to you.
- Three quest types have been added:
- Raise Up
- Level up X levels! (between 1 and 3 levels)
- Demon Slayer
- Kill a total of X monsters! (5 and 9 monster kills)
- Frenzy Slicer
- Make a total of X damage to a monster! (between 25000 and 50000 damage)
- Raise Up
- Fixed an issue where current experience points would overflow the needed experience for the next level

FightSabers v0.2.0
First of all, thanks to everyone that sent me feedbacks or issues they encountered. There were some nice and interesting features to implement so it's nice to see the attention given to this project. Again, thank you!
Changes
- A brand new mod page has been created for FightSabers! This can be found by clicking the
Open FightSabers
button above the experience bar. You will find some information about the mod and also enabling or disabling it! - Three modifiers have been added:
- Color Sucker
- Colors are fading out when you missing them, but coming back progressively if correctly cut
- Time Warper
- Temporarily speeding up the song (the same rate as
Faster Song
, also works whenFaster
orSlower Song
official modifier is applied)
- Temporarily speeding up the song (the same rate as
- Note Shrinker
- Notes are getting smaller (65% of the original size of the note)
- Color Sucker
- Monsters will randomly have one modifier when they spawn (that will change in the future, might be more than one)
Additional informations
Since the mod now has game modifiers, scores are DISABLED when FightSabers is enabled. Again, you can disable it anytime in the mod page explained in the changelog.

You may encounter some minor or average bugs in that version! (not breaking the game of course)
Also, most of the data (and logs) are visible for everyone, which can help me understand in what circumstance it doesn't work and why.
WIP features
- Skill tree (skill points already implemented but useless at this time)
- 3D f**cking floating monsters! (need help for some models, if you're willing to help, contact me!)
- More monster names and such
- Better visuals, audio signals, etc..
- Better experience system (aka. the formula)
Bugs
- When applying settings, the experience bar animation is done again
- If the player is leaving the song or failing, it should not apply the experience (I guess?)
- The 3D monster information in 90/360° is not enough visible imo
