Using SQL Compact with MS Report Viewer DataSet

Menu options are grayed out

• The Toolbox requires one of these SQL Server Compact runtime MSIs to be installed, if you want to connect to a SQL Server Compact database file:

• Download 3.5 SP2

• Download 4.0 SP1

You cannot add a SQL Server Compact 4 connection

• Check your About screen (Question mark icon) - the SQL Server Compact 4.0 runtime MSI must be installed. Download link above.

• Make sure the .csv file is saved in UTF-8 format
