This repository houses code used in an analysis of firearm shooting risk and nearby disinvestment conditions in the built and natural environments within the City of Toledo, OH.
Some of the data used in this analysis are not publicly available and therefore cannot be shared here, namely the parcel survey data used to create our exposure metrics. The firearm shootings data were obtained from the Toledo PD Shooting Crime Stats Dashboard and accessed on March 22, 2023. Poverty data were from the US Census using 2021 American Community Survey, 5-Year estimates and downloaded from NHGIS. Zoning and streets inforation were obtained from the City of Toledo Data Hub and accessed on April 7, 2023.
