Installation and Usage

Requirements

  • Python 3.x
  • API keys for VirusTotal, URLScan.io, and Twitter
  • Required Python packages (listed in requirements.txt)

Setup Instructions

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/cybersight/url-threat-analyzer.git
    cd url-threat-analyzer
  2. Install Python dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  3. Configure API keys:

    • Create configuration files in the configs directory for:
      • VirusTotal (virustotal_config.json)
      • URLScan.io (urlscan_config.json)
      • Twitter (twitter_config.json)
  4. Run the application:

    python controller.py
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to analyze URLs and share results

Customize the tool's behavior through:

  • API Configuration: Modify JSON files in the configs directory
  • Output Formatting: Adjust report templates in output_module.py
  • Twitter Integration: Modify tweet formatting in twitter_module.py
