BigCatAndTea has now full support for backup news!
If you'd like to test:
Grab the custom news attached and put it into sdmc:/News and also make sure to make a new directory like that sdmc:/NewsBackup, open the app and press X to backup your switch news, then press Y to install the custom news I prepared. More coming soon!
If you have any issue jsut open a new one in the related section, I'll be back to you ASAP.
