DESDR (Decision Engine for Socioeconomic Disaster Risk) enhances disaster risk management for farmers and vulnerable communities by integrating firsthand information with satellite data. This approach provides a more accurate representation of the impact of disasters. The project uses mobile messaging for data collection (Survey Your Way), which respects local practices, and then verifies this data (Reptile) for secure storage and analysis. Our web-based platform, Sliders, allows stakeholders such as government officials, researchers, and policymakers to access and utilize this information for informed decision-making in disaster management.
