Desktop Declutter

Desktop Declutter is a Python script designed to organize files on your desktop by moving them into custom folders based on their file types and sorting them by modification date. The script also backs up files before moving them to ensure data safety.

How to Use

Prerequisites

• Python 3.x installed on your system.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone
   cd File-Organizer

2. Install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt

Configuration

Create a config.json file in the root directory with the following structure:

Running the Script

Run the script using Python:

python file_organizer.py --config config.json

Command-Line Arguments

• --config: Path to the configuration file (default: config.json).
