Character creation screen displays on main menu

Describe the bug

When i start the defense game mode but cancel out of the character creation screen, the character creation screen stays visible on the main menu.

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1.Start defense game mode
2.Exit out of character creation

Expected behavior

The menus from the character creation screen should not be visible on the main menu.
