Filthy threads require huge amounts of detergent and water to clean.

The Dirtiest Threads

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Shred filthy clothes down to threads
  2. Try to clean them.
  3. Absurd amounts of soap required to clean.

Expected behavior

A lot less soap. Rags clean at about 4 to 1 cleanser (about 320 threads). Because Threads are a high bulk product, an even conversion here would be ~300 threads per soap, but even 50 or 100 Threads per cleanser would be manageable. A 50:1 would only require about 13-14 cleanser in this example.
