Welcome to our brand new redesigned launcher!

We've been working hard to bring you a new and improved experience, and we're excited to finally share it with you!

While the full list of changes is extensive, here are some key highlights:

In addition, while in previous announcements we have said that support for older operating systems would be removed, we have managed to keep support by splitting builds by supported operating systems. We still recommend those affected update to a supported operating system.

• Added native ARM64 support for both macOS and Linux (in the launcher and the game itself)
  • This change should boost performance on Apple Silicon Macs and add support for ARM64 devices (like the Raspberry Pi) on Linux
• Upgraded JRE to 8u401 (8u111 is now unsupported)
• The JRE will now be redownloaded after a launcher update (unless you're using your own JRE)
• The game downloader will no longer attempt to download or cache Mojang’s metadata JSONs
• Fixed GPU info reporting in the log file
