Hello DEIL,

For the past couple of months, open data source information has been organized and stored in lists, usually in CSV or Excel format (in sources.csv and in master lists), each defined by a category. This is becoming more difficult to maintain as the lists grow, so what other methods could we use to organize this information?

I will note that separating sources into different categories and levels is not so much an issue, provided we have an effective way to insert, modify, delete, and join lists.

JSON is much more flexible than CSV and more transparent than XLSX, so perhaps it could be a choice?

There definitively needs to be a common pattern for source metadata, now each project follows its own schema.

Proposal:

LODE Data Sources Ontology
