Per @chughes297 request, and the sticky note in the proposed GUI mockups.

I'm fine with making it optional. Omitting it is functionally equivalent to setting it to zero, though, so we could also keep it required and just make it clear that the user that they should set it to zero if they don't want it to have any effect (which I think is the default anyway).
