Sharing: Query Loop block displaying sharing buttons on page editor but not on the live page

Quick summary

Steps to reproduce

1. Add a Query Loop block to a page set to display the entire post content
2. Enable Sharing Buttons for posts in Tools -> Marketing -> Sharing Buttons

What you expected to happen

Sharing buttons should appear below each post on the page.

What actually happened

Sharing buttons appear below each post on the page editor but not on the live page. (They appear as links on the page editor)

Context

They are using the theme “Twenty Eleven”

I've tried disabling plugins, switching themes, etc... with no luck

I tried to replicate this on a test site but the sharing buttons don't appear below the posts if I don't set sharing buttons to display on pages too (The user doesn't want pages to display sharing buttons)

• Replicated in all three environments. Within a Query Loop Block > Post Content, the editor shows the sharing buttons, but the live site does not.
• In WPCom, the live site does show the Like button
• On a Free site, the sharing buttons don't appear in the editor at all, but the live site behavior matches the bevahior noted in my bullet-points above

I believe I ran into an instance of this in 35579706-hc: the sharing buttons aren't showing up for the Query Loop posts on their homepage. They have sharing buttons enabled on posts and pages (and they do show up on the posts themselves and the bottom of the homepage).

They also don't show up in the editor for this user's homepage (even if you swap out the Post Excerpt block for a Post Content block) – I think that's because they have "Excerpts" selected for feeds at Settings > Reading?
