OpenJazz rev. 0.2 (for MiyooCFW 2.0)
Pre-releaseOpenJazz (aka Jazz Jackrabbit 1) with working partly bg music + other fixes from upstream source.
INSTALLATION
copy all folders to your MAIN partition
FIXES
Added preliminary music support, but does not work well with levels described below (due to low memory my guess 😕 ):
- unplayable with default BOSS.PSM song file:
LEVEL 18÷23 (Last Guardian)
LEVEL 39÷41 (Last Guardian) - plays only after few more attemps of launching/crashing in a row:
LEVEL 8 - Megairbase (ep3 ; plan3)
LEVEL 9 - Turtemple (ep4 ; plan1)
LEVEL 13 - Sluggion (ep5 ; plan2
LEVEL 15 - Pezrock (ep6 ; plan1)
LEVEL 17 - Battleships (ep6 ; plan3)
BONUS LEVEL - Bonus Stage
For these levels, please use OpenJazz_nomusic
binary.
BUGS
Miyoo:
- music data doesn't load into memory correctly every time (try one more time if the game crashes then)
General:
- only first Gurdian (Boss) have AI implentation in upstream source, rest of them will remain static during fight.
- no such files/levels from original data:
LEVEL 24÷29
LEVEL 42÷49
REWORKS
This release adds input mapping for all consoles under 2.0 CFW
NOTES

if some of non-listed levels don't want to boot either way, please try firstly to launch level-0 and next desired level (this process improves compatibility through the game).

if you really insist on playing with music on non-playable with audio stages, you can replace e.g. SONG8.PSM file to another working e.g. SONG0.PSM, or you can remove it entirely.

you may want to replace old
openjazz.cfg
config in the ~/.openjazz or ~/games/Openjazz directory to update inputs & when there are video issues. -
button mapping (PocketGO):
SELECT - exit or move back in menu
START - pause game
A - jump/swim (accept in menu)
B - fire weapon
Y - change weapon
X - non functional
L1 - show stats
