Austin PCB pre-Release Beta (PCB v2.1.1, schematic V2.1.2)

General characteristics

• Retains the same layout compatibilities and is backwards compatible with Austin R1 and R2 cases
• Overall quality-of-life improvements over release Alpha (read next section)
• Addition of RGB underglow
• Added warning signs to remember user to use washers under the stabilizer screws

Improvements over release Alpha

• Completely rehauled tracing
• All components were moved to the bottom side (allows for foams, better quality control and cheaper PCB manufacturing)
• Components now have metadata in the schematic
• Caps lock key LED can now be used as indicator or as LED with an SPDT selector switch
• Indicator brightness can now be controlled
• New discharge-based hold-for-DFU reset circuitry
• Unidirectional TVS and better fuse
• MCU footprint is compatible with LQFP48 and UFQFPN48 STM32F072 variants
• All resistors changed to 0805 package
• USB 5V voltage bypass capacitors changed to tantallum capacitors

Release Alpha

This version was prototyped and the firmware was written for it. It is the final GB version, that is, the one that will be shipped with the keyboard's GB version.

Pre-release of Alpha version

This is the intended GB version. It wil prototyped in the next days.
