As we've been discussing for a while, support for Python 2 is nearing its end. We will drop support for Python 2 in the next major release (rez 3.0). Support will be removed from both the CLI and the API.

We will do this in 2 phases:

  1. Release Drop support for installs with Python lower than 3.7 #1469 as 2.114.0 with warnings in docs and release notes.
  2. Completely drop support for Python 2 in rez 3.0.
