WinPath v0.3.1
This is the fourth release of WinPath! It includes some bugs that were thought to be very annoying and disturbing. It's not crucial to download it, at least for the most part, but, if there's some stuff not working right, this release should fix that up.
Here are the main highlights:
- The update command does not conflict with the previous path when installing.
backup list
command displays the table of backups correctly.- You now have backwards compatibility support with v0.2.0, if you are on that version and v0.3.0 failed to install, it should work now.
- New install script to easily install WinPath for your first time!
For all the changes made, refer to the changelog.
Installation
If you never installed WinPath before or don't have it installed anymore, download install.ps1
, then run PowerShell as an administrator. And once you are in the directory you downloaded install.ps1
to, in your powershell (which should be running as an administrator) window, run .\install.ps1
and wait for it to complete.
If you do have WinPath installed, simply run winpath update
.
WinPath v0.3.0
This is the third release of WinPath. Here are the main highlights:
- Backup command
- Backup list command
- Backup apply command
- Backup create command
- Backup remove command
- Faster performance and better stability
- Lower application size
- And, as always, we've also had some bug fixes
For information on the features, refer to the changelog.
Installation
Please note that this release contains breaking changes and you're going to have to install it manually.
If you have WinPath already installed, run winpath update --prerelease --confirm
and you should be good to go.
You do not ever need to download WinPath.Updater
executables, those are for use by the update command to update and cannot directly be used to update WinPath.
You have to download WinPath_win-<arch>
or WinPath_win10-x64
if you are on Windows 10 64-bit.
win-<arch> builds work for Windows 7 and above, they are portable.
win10-x64 specifically works on Windows 10 x64 computers.
