🌌 Welcome to 8Opt — The Thought Experiment Lab

"The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas." — Linus Pauling

👋 Hello, Explorer!

I’m Le Duc Minh, and this is 8Opt — a sandbox for the algorithmically curious. This lab was built for thinkers, tinkerers, and dreamers who love to play with code, bend logic, and push the boundaries of what AI can do.

Here, you're not just running code — you're experimenting with ideas. Whether you're a veteran AI engineer or just coding your first neural net, you're welcome in this shared space of creative chaos and elegant solutions.

🧪 What is 8Opt?

8Opt is more than a playground — it’s a thought experiment lab where algorithms meet imagination. Dive into code that explores the why, not just the how. Test hypotheses, break things (safely), and iterate on ideas that matter.

Expect:

  • Experimental AI algorithms
  • Curious side quests in optimization
  • A zero-judgment zone for building weird, brilliant things

🤝 Want to Contribute?

This lab thrives on collaboration. Bring your quirks, your insights, your edge-case solvers and wild hypotheses. Fork it, break it, improve it.

No contribution is too small, no idea too weird. Let’s grow this lab together — one beautiful algorithm at a time.

🌱 Final Thought

If you're here, you're already part of the lab.

Code freely. Think boldly.

Let’s build ideas that might not make sense — until they do.

📝 Appendix

To be honest, the octoopt (8Opt) is a short for eight operations. I want to build a lab where we can explore the harmony of computer science and artificial intelligence on eight operations. Those would be categorized in two main groups: Individuals and Organizations.

Individuals

  1. Human Behavior
  2. Human Reasoning
  3. Human Learning
  4. Human Creativity

Organizations

  1. Organization Behavior
  2. Organization Learning
  3. Organization Creativity
  4. Organization Reasoning

Because I believe that humans is a social animal, I think it is important to study both the behavior of individuals and organizations. I want to understand the interaction between individuals and organizations, and how they can work together to create value.
