## [temperature fan] Supplemental CPU Fan
While the stock Troodon doesn't come with a fan attached to the BTT-CB1 (a Raspberry Pi clone) - it just uses a heatsink - it is possible to add a fan to the heatsink.
And there's a convenient fan header pin positioned right beside the heatsink as well, making this an easy process, as demostrated here by user @Don_Duce in the Formbot Discord #Troodon_2 channel:

Then, to enable this fan, another Klipper [fan] section can be added where the pin definition comes from the [BTT-Pi repository](https://github.com/bigtreetech/BTT-Pi/blob/master/BIGTREETECH%20Pi%20V1.2%20-%20Board%20Fan%20Pin%20Configuration).
In this case, the fan is temperature-controlled, meaning that a temperature sensor is used to control the fan. Conveniently, we've just added the sensor we need as `temperature_host` so the config looks something like this.
The extra PID parameters are used to adjust the fan speed as the temperature rises.

## [heater_fan] Hotend Fan
Here we're referring to the fan that is in the toolhead. Normally, this will be running at 100% whenever the extruder heater is on.
This is a critical fan, as without it the heat from the heat block will slowly creep up into the extruder and start melting things that are not supposed to be melted.
