Quick Mute is a Chrome extension that lets you add highlighted text into Twitter/X's muted keywords by pressing Ctrl+B.
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/
. - Enable Developer mode (toggle on the top-right).
- Click Load unpacked.
- Select the
Quick-Mute
folder. - The extension is now installed locally.
- Add Muted Keyword: On Twitter/X, highlight text and press Ctrl+B (only if the extension is enabled via the popup).
- Popup UI: Click the extension icon to open the popup. Use the toggle switch to enable/disable the muting functionality and view recently muted words.
This extension is unofficial and for personal, local use only. It is not published on the Chrome Web Store. Use at your own risk.
