Quick Mute

Quick Mute is a Chrome extension that lets you add highlighted text into Twitter/X's muted keywords by pressing Ctrl+B.

Installation (Unpacked)

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/.
  2. Enable Developer mode (toggle on the top-right).
  3. Click Load unpacked.
  4. Select the Quick-Mute folder.
  5. The extension is now installed locally.

Usage

  • Add Muted Keyword: On Twitter/X, highlight text and press Ctrl+B (only if the extension is enabled via the popup).
  • Popup UI: Click the extension icon to open the popup. Use the toggle switch to enable/disable the muting functionality and view recently muted words.
