I have taken the time to fill in all the required details. I understand that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.
This issue contains only one bug.
Affected version
25.08
Device Type
Smart TV/Box
Affected Android
Android 12 (Google Chromecast)
Steps to reproduce the bug
There's two ways to trigger the bug:
A) Open the search, search for something, click a random video. While the video loads and the bottom info panel still shows "-:--" instead of the video's duration, press the Back button.
B) Open a playlist, open a video, let it play to the end. Right at the end when it transitions to the next video in the playlist, press the Back button.
Actual behavior
It goes two steps back instead of one.
When you're in a playlist, then watch a video in said playlist and then press "Back" while the video plays, you will return to the playlist. Same for search - when you open a video from the search results, pressing "Back" returns you to the search results.
However, pressing "Back" in the small amount of time while a video loads (either from search or from autoplay when the previous video ended), doesn't bring you back to the search or to the playlist, it seems to bring you back one level further (so, usually, to the main screen).
This is fairly annoying because I quite often press the Back button in this situation - either because I mis-clicked on the wrong video in the search results and want to go back, or because the video I just watched ended and I want to go back.
Quite often, it then returns to the home screen instead because I happened to press "Back" while the next video was loading.
