EasyEffects Sink doesn't affect output volume #1817
Comments
This change was intentionally done. Too many users have been facing lack of sound because our virtual devices volume are set to zero either by PipeWire bugs, third party tools or who knows what more. You can see some examples at #1777, #1220 and #1760. But there are others. Honestly I gave up on these controls. They are not worth the constant flux of bug reports about lack of sound. And on top of this our virtual devices should not be set as default devices in 99% of the cases. So under normal conditions there isn't much point in setting their volumes anyway. |

I see... Take a look at PipeWire's wiki https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/wikis/Virtual-Devices#configuration. They show some examples. Make sure you set |
