The ConventionSource class is pretty much locked down to a way of usage at the moment.
I think the private interface ConventionSourceWriter and the constructor ConventionSource(ConventionSourceWriter impl) should be made public so projects can implement custom Writers/ConventionSource objects. As it stands now this is not possible.
