The authentic register for localities used in addresses is available as GeoJSON from the Kadaster web service hosted at Nationaal Georegister.

https://geodata.nationaalgeoregister.nl/bag/wfs?request=GetFeature&service=WFS&typename=bag:woonplaats&srsName=EPSG:4326&outputformat=application/json

The service provides the official name and geometry for all of the 2500 localities. The service is updated on a daily basis, yet localities may typically change once a year in January.
