"How to save a life?" - The Fray

😊 Why?

Animavita is a combination of two Latin words, ‘Animal’ and ‘Vitae’, which means respectively ‘Animal’ and ‘Life’. This is an idea to create or animate something that was born a while ago, when I realized that facebook is used to publicize adoption and also ask for help for animals that lives on the streets.

Animavita's purpose is not to change how people use facebook to the activities described above, but to centralize the helpful information in a single application. Anyone can make an adoption request, but it doesn’t mean that the pet will be automatically adopted. It means that the person interested can talk to the person who registered the pet, allowing both sides to have a conversation, and the user to research and decide his favorite pet.

💫 Roadmap

In v2, we aim to rebuild a simpler version of Animavita with a cleaner UI and a much better codebase that will make it easier for us to add new features over time and attract more and more contributors. The following epics list was thought to be completed as soon as possible to see whether the decisions made on #120 work. Complex features such as in-app chat will be considered in the future.

Business rules

• During onboarding, the user can choose to be either an owner or an adopter, never both
• When the owner meets an adopter, both should be able to see each other phone number
• When the owner accepts an adoption request, all other requests for the same pet should be automatically denied
• When the owner deletes a pet or accepts an adoption request, that pet should no longer be displayed in the adopter nearest pets list
