Lack of schemas for initial messages

When declaring an actor, we are not allowed to present a schema for the initial message. This causes a great deal of bureaucracy in the actor declarations, because we have to spend an inordinate effort making sure fields exist and have the proper types and such. It would be easy to add a schema verification step.
