Preview (files) Widget

I was wondering if there is a way to tweak the widget so when you are using the terminal along the widget, the widget updates to the path of the terminal and show files from there.

edit:

I was able to do a symlink that enables partial feature of what I want. If I open the preview widget when I'm at certain path I see those files, but I would like to be refreshed automatically without having to refresh the widget manually or with a shortcut.
