It doesn't work for me, either. It seems to happen in 0.8.20 as well (but 0.8.19 words fine). In my code, when I use the query.handsontable.removeRow.js, the column for the X is not there. Instead, there's just a blank read--only column. Please see attached image.

We know about this issue... It should be fixed in 0.9, which will be released in about week from now.

Good news, demo buttons page is now fixed in version 0.9.0 - http://handsontable.com/demo/buttons.html
