VehiclesApp

This project was generated with Angular CLI version 8.3.19.

Description

A Demo app that displays a list of vehicles filtered by type, brand and color that can be selected from dropdown menu. The filter values and the list of vehicles updated dynamically. This app can be used as an example of using Angular, Typescript, Angular Material, HttpClient, RxJS, SCSS and ts-node

Setup

  • Ensure you have a recent version of Node and NPM installed.
  • Install Angular CLI npm i -g angular-cli@latest
  • Install Typescript npm i -g typescript
  • Install TSLint npm install -g tslint
  • Install Protractor for e2e testing npm install -g protractor
  • Install Node packages npm i
  • Run local build ng serve

To Run the Development Backend Server

We can start the sample application backend with the following command:

`npm run server`

This is a small Node REST API server.

Development server

Run npm start for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Code scaffolding

Run ng generate component component-name to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module.

Build

Run ng build to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/ directory. Use the --prod flag for a production build.

Running unit tests

Run ng test to execute the unit tests via Karma.

Running end-to-end tests

Run ng e2e to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor.
