Idea for a new version of a v7 raw board targeting low deepsleep consumption

Targeting only two 8 bit panels:

• 34 pins connector (6 inch)
• ED052TC4 connectors only. Same MCU so speed and timings do not change, different board setup, since this will not have IO expander.

Removed

• PCA9535 IO expander, this will be only GPIO driven
• UART IC and all related circuit like it's own LDO

Updated

• RTC for RV2032 (removing old Crystal, capacitors, etc)
• UART for built in USB only
• Release 1.0 make it as raw barebone as possible (No RTC, No QWIIC, just get the display working)

Coming in additionally

• 2 new buttons: RESET + BOOT in case is in deepsleep and does not let flashing to force MCU enter in download mode
• QWIIC connector so it’s easier to connect new sensors (In Rel 1.1)
• ED052TC4 connector a bit bigger size than Lilygo 4.7” with higher resolution
• All connectors in a human friendly position to make a case
• Solar harvest circuit (idea) so we can support auto charging (In Rel 1.0)

Hi, sorry, I can't give helpful feedback. I barely know the software-side.

No problem it was just more to ask epdiy supporters if they like the idea so I publish the new board. I was going to do that only if there is some interest
