From a2052a44f3c08076d8d1ac505c8eb5395141bf79 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nicholas Chammas Date: Tue, 10 Jun 2014 21:49:08 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] [SPARK-2065] give launched instances names MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit This update resolves [SPARK-2065](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-2065). It gives launched EC2 instances descriptive names by using instance tags. Launched instances now show up in the EC2 console with these names. I used `format()` with named parameters, which I believe is the recommended practice for string formatting in Python, but which doesn’t seem to be used elsewhere in the script.
