I updated UTM and have exactly the same problem -- can't launch VM. MacOS 15.3 (24D60) for M2. UTM 4.6.4 (107). |

I found a solution: quit UTM, go to /Users/your-name-here/Library/Containers and drag UTM to your desktop. Run UTM briefly then quit. Drag UTM from your desktop back to /Users/your-name-here/Library/Containers and say you want to Replace the existing one. Run UTM again and it works -- must be some kind of permissions problem. Remember to select "Install Windows Guest tools..." and run the installer. |

After using UTM Windows 11 for about the last year, I'm suddenly no longer able to start it due to the following error...
QEMU error: QEMU exited from an error: qemu-aarch64-softmmu: -drive if=none,media=cdrom,id=drive747394A7-B25B-42C1-A8F3-CE518B7E4A97,file=/Users/kevin/Library/Containers/com.utmapp.UTM/Data/Library/Application Support/GuestSupportTools/utm-guest-tools-latest.iso,readonly=on: Failed to lock byte 100
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the portion of the path mentioned at '.../Containers/com.utmapp.UTM/...' doesn't appear to exist on my Mac. I do have a valid path at '.../Containers/com.utmapp.QEMUHelper/...', however.
Preceding this issue, I had attempted to install (reinstall?) guest support tools because my mouse had stopped working in the VM, without using the 'capture' feature.
