after the latest update, i cant go into desktop mode

Describe the bug

I did the update today and now trying to enter desktop results in reload of gaming mode. I cant possibly go there and i need it for my workflow

What did you expect to happen?

Desktop mode to show up my gnome desktop

Output of rpm-ostree status

Impossible to get currently (i didnt setup ssh)

Same here, already rebased from bazzite-deck to bazzite-gnome-deck and to bazzite.
If i run bazzite it will boot without issues into KDE, neither from deck nor gnome-deck i am able to switch to desktop.
I'm not on Steamdeck, my Hardware is:

• B550m Board
• AMD RX 6750 XT
• AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
• 16 GB DDR4 RAM(3200 mHz XMP)
• 2x1TB nvme SSD(1 Boot/System and Games, 1 just Games)

Try this in tty:
dconf reset -f /org/gnome/

Apparently the desktop couldn't start due to sigfault error. It helped me

Same issue here, rebasing back to an older version fixed the issue

Dunno what you mean. But if you want to Rollback you can use 'bazzite-rollback-helper' for example.

bazzite-rollback-helper list stable
#will list the stable rollback options

bazzite-rollback-helper rebase bazzite-deck:stable-41.20241229
#will Rollback to bazzite deck 41 Version from 29th of December 2024

I dont use the Desktop mode really often so i dont know from which Version on it stopped working.

@francoism90 i always turn on SSH on my machines. But i guess you could enter the terminal by pressing CTRL + ALT and F1(or F2)

Hope this gets fixed up soon, my ROG Ally X keeps updating itself to latest, locking me out of desktop mode
