Prerequisites

  • I verified that this is not a filter list issue. Report any issues with filter lists or broken website functionality in the uAssets issue tracker.
  • This is not a support issue or a question. For support, questions, or help, visit /r/uBlockOrigin.
  • I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue.
  • The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser.
  • I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior.

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

  • uBO is the only extension.
  • uBO uses default lists and settings.
  • using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

Clarify Thunderbird extension use cases in README so people know the purpose of you block for Thunderbird, without having to dig around for: "#2652 (comment)"

Possible solution would be to change line 94 in the README

  • old: [Thunderbird Add-ons][Thunderbird]
  • new: [Thunderbird Add-ons][Thunderbird] does not affect emails, just feeds.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

Or made good quality PR with add support affects e-mails (hide images, block trackers) == see #2652.

Thunderbird Add-ons does not affect emails, just feeds.

It's a nitpick, so please don't take this as rude, but in my opinion this should be reworded. ie

Thunderbird Add-ons. In Thunderbird, uBlock Origin does not affect emails, just feeds.

Thanks

That's a good idea but for now I think it's important to clarify.

Fixed with gorhill/uBlock@b1530e2. Sorry for bad commit message, went too fast and forgot I was on a separate repo.
