What did you expect to happen?

To run topgrade and RubyGems to update without sudo as before, or at least to work when password is entered.

What actually happened?

Every time I run topgrade it prompts for password at the RubyGems step. When I type this in, it doesn't work. I'm using asdf ruby.

RubyGems in topgrade
RubyGems in terminal
Update asdf

Additional Details

  • Which operating system or Linux distribution are you using? MacOS Ventura 13.2, M1 chip
  • How did you install Topgrade? Via homebrew
  • Which version are you running? 10.3.1

I think I'm having this same issue with https://mise.jdx.dev (instead of asdf)
