tide_gauge_long -- directory with all tide gauge stations from University of Hawaii Sea Level Center database (http://uhslc.soest.hawaii.edu/data/?rq) with at least 90 years of available data. We use this as a somewhat arbitrary minimum length of data to get MLE parameter estimates.
