Some nice-to-have improvements include:

camera down alerts (e.g., for wireless cameras an alert that fires if a camera hasn't sent an alert in a week or two)
excessive triggering alerts
limit notifications to a particular camera/set of cameras
ability to configure alerts that match "if not [bird]" events

The ability to batch email alerts (e.g. end of day summary/digest) instead of single alerts would also be useful.
