Is there no way to stop the play/pause event when the earbdus are removed?

There's a toggle for a "play/pause even when earbuds are worn", but not the other way. Would what I'm asking be a hardware thing, where it can't be disabled, because it's really annoying having a play/pause event sent when you stopped your music manually already or just don't have anything playing, because suddenly, there is music playing the moment you remove your earbuds.
