Multiple Samba (SMB) Shares

I didn't find this suggestion in search, but perhaps it's been made.

It would be nice if I could connect multiple Samba (SMB) shares. I have my shares for video and photos segregated, but with the upcoming inclusion of photos it would be cool if I could access both shares and have them mixed together. This isn't high priority as I can easily copy the videos I want over to the photo share and folder that I'm using, but would make my general workflow easier (I edit my videos and only want to display final edits).

If this is too difficult feel free to close. Either way awesome job on this app!

When you say 'multiple', how many are you thinking? 😅

Personally I have two, I could maybe see three being nice. If I'm the only person interested in it then I think it's fine to stick with one.

I think that is the first time someone has requested it, but I have thought about it from time to time.

The main issue is the Android TV Prefs UI is very basic but I have thought of an ok-ish way to do it.

I'm also looking to add 'Custom Sources' so it'll need a similar UI.

Can I ask, do you use the phone app you enter text, does it work well?

I've never used my phone to enter text. I've seen the popup, but never looked into getting it working with my phone/TV.

Just an idea - depending on what device/OS you're using, you could create a 3rd share just for Aerial Views that contains a sym/hard link to the videos and pictures?

Possibly an option for me. I'm using TrueNAS SCALE so it's probably more convoluted to setup than a more barebones linux server, but i'll have a look at it.

+1 for this request. I just found this app to replace "photo gallery and screensaver" and won't be switching back. I'd also like to see multiple network shares at some point.

I wanted something like this, but an easy workaround was to create a screensaver share on my TreuNAS in which I symlinked all the folders with the media I wanted.
