Theemo already exports each theme to jsonbin. At another document, which consumes these themes you can also import them from jsonbin and by that enable to switch between them (pretty much what themer is already offering). As this is already working within the boundaries of theemo, there can be more support for it. Such as, on a document that wants to use themes, theemo will allow you to switch between them and even further would allow to switch between contexts right on the consuming document.
Further enhancements can be to automatically detect whether styles from another document are used and by that auto-detect theemo themes and lists those as available options to switch between them.
It would be awesome to be able to choose a color style from a linked library for the origin—the use case is having a separate Figma file where primitives are defined and published as it's own library.
