I would like to use incremental indexing instead of batch indexing, but without support for block indexing it's not feasible. Is there a timeframe for real-time index support of block indexing?

Are Direct Indexes not supported at all by real=time indexing (for example creating a function like batching indexing's showdocument using docid)? If not, when will they be?
