Yes, currently there is no option to join private groups via link in the Telegram Desktop client. This makes it difficult to join such groups without using a browser.

I would like the Telegram Desktop client to have an option to join private groups by entering a link. This could be implemented by adding a field in the search bar or a dedicated option in the menu where users can paste the invitation link and join the group directly.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I have considered using the mobile app or a web browser to join private groups via link. However, these alternatives are not as convenient as having the feature directly in the Telegram Desktop client, which would provide a more seamless experience.
