Video upscaling is the process of increasing the resolution of lower-resolution video content to fit higher-definition screens, such as 2K or 4K. At 1080p screens it also work if the video is of low quality.

NVIDIA and AMD have developed their own solutions to achieve this.
NVIDIA's RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR) is designed for users of GeForce RTX 30 and 40 series GPUs.
AMD has introduced its own video upscaling technology as part of the Adrenaline driver 24.1.1 for RX 7000 series GPUs.
It works good in a browser. It would be great if this worked in the desktop version of Telegram.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Use the web version of Telegram, or download a video and then watch it in another player.
