I'm a lowly minion on the tech crew that supports science fiction conventions such as Eastercon, Redemption, Discworld, Nine Worlds, and some Worldcons. "Tech Crew" really means stage crew - the team that provides lighting, audio, video presentation and (sometimes) manned cameras, and frequently provides the actual stage, too - generally in hotel rooms where everything has to be hired in from an events equipment provider. Mainly, I'd be talking about what we do, and some of the problems that crop up, plus our solutions, and touching a little bit on the software tools involved.
