Motivation and Context

Fixes #1728

@mottolini,

Thank for the PR, but as you can see your change is failing our existing test suites which means the change is probably causing some regressions. Please have a look at the tests locally.

You may be interesting in our setting up and scripts documentation pages.

We cannot merge this PR in it's current form as it possibly introduces some regressions.
