Bret's info on ijidokun (kun homophones)

I wonder if it's possible to include this on the forms section (if Bret is okay with it, naturally), specially since it's on the web for free, I found the JMdict's original data really lacking on this aspect.

I already know of a couple other good sources of ijidōkun information: Kanjipedia has a large index, and the 8th edition of Sanseidō's 国語辞典 ("sankoku" for short) also contains links between ijidōkun entries.

You may be surprised to find that JMdict already contains a lot of this information for forms that are near-synonyms. The information is usually contained within usage notes, which are prefixed with a notepad icon (📝) in Jitendex.

For example, see the entries for 足・脚・肢, 患う・煩う, and 丸い・円い.

Sometimes the information is also presented in the form of a cross reference. For example, the entry for 踊る contains a link to 躍る.

However, for some ijidōkun words like 計る・測る・量る, all three forms are in the same entry, but no information is provided to distinguish them.

So I'm thinking that for the majority of ijidōkun, the presentation of their similarities and differences needs to be reviewed and cleaned up upstream in JMdict rather than tacked-on by Jitendex.

I could definitely put together a list of ijidōkun using the aforementioned resources (Bret's info, kanjipedia, and sankoku) and present it to the JMdict editors for their consideration.
