PDAL dependency requires installation PDAL binaries. This makes the installation of the extension more complicated and in many cases, you have to fall back to conda/ docker,

The LasPy module does not require external dependencies and is good enough for fetching headers/ metadata.

I suggest replacing the current PDAL dependency with LasPy.
