This is my configuration (following this page of the docs):

[notifications]
direct_message = { show_toast = true }
highlight = { show_toast = true }

To reproduce, my steps:

  1. Authenticate to liberachat and join #halloy.
  2. Ask anyone to highlight you.
  3. Immediately shift your focus to another window (or to another workspace) as you wait for the message.

What happens: I don't get a notification, ever.

  • Halloy 2024.13 from Flathub (flatpak, user install) — 2024.14 is not yet available.
  • Sway WM v1.10 (Wayland, wlroots compositor)
  • Mako v1.9.0 notification daemon
  • I'm sure I don't have a do-not-disturb feature enabled (I get notifications from other apps).

I get a segfault in my syslog every time I open or close Halloy, it seems.
