Problem Description

Firstly, thank you! for your work in Spyder - it's the only Python IDE I will use. It's simple and not bloated, thank you for keeping it trimmed down.

Problem

The keyboard shortcut for 'duplicate line' appears to be missing in version 6.

What steps reproduce the problem?

  1. Open Preferences > Keyboard shortcuts
  2. Type 'duplicate' in the search field
  3. Notice the shortcut appears to have been removed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I use this shortcut (possibly) more than any other. Can we please have it back?

Hi @s3dev thank you for the report and the feedback! I think this could be related to #22516 (I think on Windows the shortcut is Ctrl+Up/Down and although is not listed over the Preferences page, it still should be working).

Let us know if the info above and in the linked issues helps!

@dalthviz - Thank you for the prompt reply. After looking at the helpfully linked related issue, I see the entry in spyder.ini as Ctrl+Alt+Up/Down. I've edited this to my usual Ctrl+D and started Spyder. Sorted! Consider resolved.

Cheers mate, thanks again!
